Project Description

PhO2 (MobileOx) is a mobile platform for accurate blood oxygen saturation monitoring using smartphone cameras. Traditional pulse oximeters require dedicated hardware, limiting their accessibility.

Our approach leverages the camera and flashlight of commodity smartphones to capture photoplethysmogram (PPG) signals from the user's fingertip. Through advanced signal processing and machine learning algorithms, we extract accurate SpO2 measurements.

The system achieves clinical-grade accuracy while being accessible on any smartphone, making continuous oxygen monitoring feasible for home healthcare and remote patient monitoring applications.
